Cleaning slipcovers doesn't always involve out of the home process.
Simply remove the soiled slipcover  and either launder or dry clean.

If you have your own fabric:
Directions for Pre-Shrinking Yardage
Washing: Use a liquid detergent and the highest water level setting. Dilute detergent it in warm or hot water, then add the fabric.
Rinsing: Use a liquid fabric softener in the rinse cycle. This is very important unless you really enjoy ironing! The fabric softener relaxes the fibers and reduces wrinkling.
Drying: Place fabric in dryer with a fabric sheet. Make sure the fabric is not twisted. If you hear a thumping noise, remove the fabric, untwist and reposition in the dryer. Dry until the fabric is bone dry. This may take up to 3 cycles, depending on the fabric. Fold promptly to reduce wrinkles
