So, you're ready to start your project?
We'll need some info about the pieces themselves
Size, type, style, and current condition. Not to worry if you're not quite up on all the terminology; a picture in my inbox is a great starting point. Of course, if you're feeling more spontaneous you can always just bring them by the shop!
Next we'll need to know about the style or look you're going for
And it doesn't have to be the same as how it started at all! Is the fabric already selected and purchased? One fabric on a piece or, one of our specialties, several? Do you want a skirt? What kind? Trim? Other embellishments? The list goes on. At this point it can be a great idea to drop by so that we can guide you through the process and what your decisions are going to mean. Decisions about design, type of fabric, and style will all impact the piece's durability, comfortability, character and everything in else in a big, big way. We want to make sure you make the decisions you'll be happy with.
Speaking of fabric...
If you don't have fabric picked out already we can tell you what to look for, and you may even find something you love in our sample books that we can order for you. Be sure you get enough, we highly encourage consulting with us on yardage needed beforehand so that you'll have enough for the piece and any options you decide on. If you've found something wonderful at a store, don't wait too long to get it. Many of the great deals out there are the last of their lots. We've unfortunately seen a lot of people miss out on that fabric they realized they fell in love with after waiting to think it over too long. And no, we don't have a cutting charge!
Let's make it happen
At this point we should be able to give a pretty good estimate of what you're looking at for labor and supplies. Once everything sounds good, drop the pieces off at the shop along with a deposit and we'll get things rolling. By this time you should either have your fabric or have it on order. You'll also know what to expect once we're done, you'll feel confident that the choices we've guided you through will be what makes you happy, and that they're in the most skilled, caring, detail-oriented hands they can be.
